Advanced Groupwork: Collaborate, facilitate and lead
An 8-month immersive journey for leaders and facilitators ready to navigate complexity, transform group dynamics, and build thriving teams.
Advanced Groupwork invites leaders, collaborators and facilitators to deepen their capacity to support thriving teams in times of complexity and change.
Program Overview
The Advanced Groupwork program supports people to bring out the best in teams and groups.
We invite you into a living learning space that is both classroom and laboratory - bringing the theory to life through experiential practice, group discussion, and reflection on the human skills that help groups thrive.
The Gathering
Face-to-face
Our 8-month program begins with a face to face gathering in a (residential) retreat setting - a space to immerse yourself in the learning, meet with your experienced program leads and nurture peer relationships - and indeed the group that you become a part of, that all play a role in your Advanced Groupwork adventure.
Monthly Workshops
Online
The opening retreat is followed by monthly online workshops, where we delve into the critical skills required for self aware, power-literate, equitable and effective collaboration, facilitation and leadership.
Throughout the program your learning is reinforced through reflective practice, supported by program facilitators and your learning triad and practice group.

-
Articulate and enact a clear facilitation philosophy, integrating self-awareness, values and principles, and awareness of unconscious dynamics to guide practice in complex environments.
-
Analyse and interpret patterns, power, and dynamics across groups, organisations, and broader systems and intervene skillfully to support movement and change.
-
Design, adapt, and facilitate processes that enable groups to navigate complexity, generate insight, and move toward meaningful, practical outcomes.
-
Recognise and work with visible and invisible power, support groups to understand structural inequities, and design processes that disrupt dominance and enable more just participation.
-
Create conditions for groups to engage constructively across difference, hold multiple truths, and navigate conflict, polarisation, and uncertainty with care and clarity.
-
Create environments that support psycho-social safety, regulate group energy, enable accountability and repair, and sustain individuals and groups over time.
-
Stay present and responsive to self, others, and the wider system—including cultural, ecological, and First Nations contexts—while working with integrity and care.
-
Create inclusive processes that respond to diverse cognitive styles, identities, and formats (in-person, online, hybrid), and enable meaningful engagement for all participants.
